Why does it feel so good to have a new friend follow you on social media? It’s because we like to be accepted and to feel we belong. Yet for so many people the world is a broken and cruel place, with 68.5 million displaced people or refugees worldwide, with no place to belong. Wouldn’t it be fantastic to fix that!? The call of Jesus today is to do what we can by working with other followers of Jesus, but we’ll never fix this broken world. God’s aim through Jesus is ultimately to build a different kind of society – the Kingdom of God; so imagine belonging with Jesus when he transforms the earth from its ugliness and corruption to a place of justice and peace!
